Who the hel are you trying to tell people what thay need or not. You just want people to buy from you so you can make big money and rip people off 3:40
Awesome! , very funny. I am from California well, but relocated to a red state.
Broker in California here, I have fired soooo many flipper clients for doing shoddy work. I just simply couldn't sell their flips - crooked tile runs, missing chunks of flooring in the closets, random soft spots in the floor, etc. Just remember folks, "contractor grade" usually means the cheapest thing available from Home Depot produced in mass.
Not interested in Idaho, Colorado or Montana. Flatlander, till the end. Love the simplicity. No trees, people or mountains.
Great points to consider. I wouldn't live remotely. My solution is to move to a small city in a rural area, then you kind of have the best of both worlds.
I think it is called knob and post
Google says incorrect. It is knob and tube.
😂 banjo music all the time 🤣🤣🤣

How hard is it for a Canadian to buy real estate in Idaho.? Thanks
Very, very easy. A little more challenging if you’re needing financing but nothing we can’t work through.
@LivingLifeNorthIdaho ok cool ya I'm 31 year old full time employeed in bc. Since Canada is getting so unstable I was looking south for something better. What's the best areas in north idaho if your a first time home buyer?
Question: have you ever done anything your elders thought was too new? Too much change?
#11 seems incongruent. Doesn't make sense if North Idahoans for example are the way you say....but the other 11 make sense. Thanks for sharing about Idaho, which is where I would visit as a child every other summer. Family in Nampa, Boise, Caldwell and Garden Valley.
Wow! Idaho is smore progressive on taxes than Oregon. Interesting.
I may be misreading the point, but it warms my heart to hear that conservatives are leaving cities and heading to Idaho and trying to change it. Hahaha
Most of Idaho is like live action broke back mountain but with way, way more anal sex. This comment was generated by a troll bot.
Wish these people would stop promoting idaho
you know this is probably one of the most honest and descriptive video about moving from an urban/suburban environment to a rural and undeveloped environment... now i live in "a hollar out past the last briar patch in nowhere usa".... and it's taken me bout 20 years to make it livable (that's 20 years of hard sweat and a lot money ) ... no contractor is going to come out to help you when they got easier jobs for more money (if you can find a contractor) and you got to buy equipment to "do it yourself" think tractors, trucks, a ton of different power tools and the know how to use them and then you got to have a barn and shop to put all that in and do make it all... yep, a probably a divorce along the way and friends and family really don't enjoy the drive out or the bugs and insects... it's best you stay in california...maybe vegas
Buying land property is easy, doing anything with it is a massive undertaking. You want to have a lot of money if you ever decide to buy land property. Just a property with an established residence already on it, even if the residence is in poor condition it's at least there already. Idaho is too expensive anyways, it's like California 2. Its already Californicated.
Like 7+ of these are reasons to move there lol.
CDA is hands down better, if you can afford it. Spokane is a working mans city, CDA is for retired folks.
Oh please, you must be part of the CDA real estate cabal who think that permits mean anything. Bonner and Boundary only have placement permit for residential and I saw no big difference in build quality. Electric, septic and plumbing are state of Idaho everywhere.
Some of these homes don't even have foundations !!!
Custom tiny house on 20 acres for me. Just gotta watch out for that snow load.
Great info! Also, water rights? Timber rights? Mineral rights?
For correct information. A new quality solar setup (panels & batteries) will last 20-30 years (not 3 years) if buying a home that is off grid ask how old the solar set up is. 👍🏼
Great advice I know the home/folks in the wrapped house... I would buy their home in a minute! Awesome people and a great home!
What's with the boredom? Do you not have a decent library? Music collection? Workshop?
I bought 40 acres in Colorado and built a 'penalized' kit home from a manufacture in Canada. It was made for Canadian winters 2x6 exterior walls full of insulation and the lumber quality was A+, nothing like the crap in lower 48. Hired a retired crop duster to help and I farmed out the trades. Actually turned out near perfect for 10 cents on the dollar. First time I tried this I hired a contractor and turned into a nightmare, but still own the house. If you have your ducks in a row, do it yourself- with help.
Name of manufacturer? Thanks in advance.
@@WildnUnruly 'Nelson Homes' I believe in Alberta. Price for me included complete package delivery, 2 semi trucks. 1- wall panels, 2 finishing lumber like drywall and roofing /siding.
@HighCountryRambler heh, I grew up in High River, AB. Nelson Homes is located there. I probably know the people who made your kit haha.
My grandparents lived outside of Boise in the early 80’s and had a ranch nearest neighbor was 10 minutes away. When they got tired of the hot fricken weather my grandfather sold the ranch to OREIDA and they turned it into a potato farm!
The first thing your REALLY need to watch out for, are fwits driving big 4x4s talking to their smartphone's camera rather than keeping their eyes on the road & their hands upon the wheel.
As an Idaho native of multiple generations, I don’t like anything about you, or your channel. You seem like a fake trust fund baby who hasn’t seen much time in the wilderness. Have a bad day.
Log cabin s ..
If there intent was to flip...9 times out of nine they cut costs.....
I think you’re a little off on your calculations. I’d say 12 times out of a dozen. 😜
Sounds better than here in Washington.
Looked at land in Idaho with CRP, shared well agreements, hidden easements people have been using, hay growing agreements and wet land in the winter with seasonal creeks you have to be pretty careful.
I looked at some "Off Grid" type homes in Idaho which got their water from springs and some had cess pools and no siding. Too primative for me I would rather but a mobile or modular home on some land. Some land had a lot of stuff left by the previous owner.
you would be bat shit crazy to buy a house in a state that throws people in prison for smoking cannabis.
sounds like my kinda place.....I might think its harsh treatment...but me and my family got nothing to worry about.....if the kid takes up pot well get em to move to your state........be nice to sit outside and not have to smell that smell......by the way if you feel that strongly about it ..those feelings might be from the addiction..just saying😜
Maybe all drugs should be legal, seems to be working out great for those areas in Washington.😂 No thanks.
@@Johnny-kv4lv In Colorado here every low life in the Nation came here for the weed, all living on the streets and not one job amongst all of them. I smoked my share of weed when I was young, what a contrast to see how legalizing it destroys a city. Ranks right up with Sanctuary City. The 2 worst policies a state can pass.
My 39 year old son has schizophrenia and loves pot. Pot doesn’t make anyone’s life better.
If you are an outsider, you can go to jail just for your neighbor's lies and slandering you. The courts are corrupt af. Idaho has more prisoners p/capita than any other state. It sure is a beautiful DANGEROUS place.
I think the first fact is why most people want to move there
I heard from many people that Idaho can be a bit racist with the blacks in the browns. What's your honest opinion?
Honest opinion, racism exists everywhere, especially in the lower parts of the social hierarchy. In terms of it being in our law enforcement, judicial system, corporations and government, it not an issue. The big reason why is that Idaho already had that label back in the day and no intelligent person wants to see it go back to that.
Also, be mindful if you’re buying a place with land that is heavily wooded, and/or has overgrown brush/thicket and you want to clear that. Clearing that can be very labor and equipment intensive.
Honestly in is just like Southern California except more winter.
My house is 133 years old and you’re right about having to upgrade, it’s very expensive but with that being said a contractor said he would rather have my home then track homes
Shitty obviously
You need to look around and you will see what Biden has done to our country,so if you aren't conservative, you have a problem,!! In cal we actually planted wolves, one of the worst predators there is !!!!
I lived in Idaho twice, most recently during COVID, and I finally left because of douche bags like you. The ignorance and utter absence of awareness or concern for their fellow citizens by the trump dorks was unbelievable. I have never experienced such callousness and disregard for the safety of others in my life. Toss in the book bans, the January 6 morons, thr religious fanatics, the ubiquitous Fuck Biden flags/signs/bumper stickers/t-shirts/hats, the ceaseless inference of gun violence toward anyone on the other side of the political divide, and a conservative legislature that distinguished itself by chasing and heckling a female page through the halls of the state Capitol after she dared to accuse a scumbag Republican legislator of sexually assaulting her, and it’s clear to anyone with an IQ above room temperature that Idaho is just Crazy Town (with bad weather, to boot). If toilet paper printed with the faces of Democrats Is the best you can do when it comes to describing Idaho’s politics, then perhaps you should leave serious discussions about serious issues to serious people. Come on dude, is that the best you can do? Really? Idaho is how trump happened, plain and simple. Why anyone would be proud of that is a mystery. Lots of cheap, right winged code switching going on here. If you’re going to espouse right winged insanity, then just say what you really mean instead of hiding behind euphemisms and double talk. Maybe you could start by admitting that North Idaho is overrun with racists who don’t actually understand the Constitution. Or maybe you could remind everyone that the Republican legislature attempted to pass legislation that would have criminally prosecuted school librarians for allowing books that dealt with topics such as homicide , infanticide, sex, human trafficking, bride price, torture, and the like. You know, the sort of stuff that takes pride of place in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. If there was one thing I learned from my time in Idaho, it was that people like you resolutely do not want outsiders coming anywhere near Idaho. Maybe you should just admit that instead of hiding behind catch phrases such as “they might not be your kind of people.”
Thanks for leaving.
If the land, like I bought in Colorado, isn't able to be on a municipal sewer system it does not require a perc test and you can have a septic put in. It does have to have proper slope and the right soil I believe. Solar and propane solves the power issues. Starlink solves the internet issue.
What about Bayview? Is that too far?
Bryan kohbergers panty raid? Or Sigma Chi murderers?
Come to Clearwater County Idaho and put up with neighbors that invade your home when you're not home. They filed trust papers in the courthouse that they did not buy but you no longer have them in your description of property. There's property thieves in Idaho and they're very well experienced at it. There should be an Idaho real estate fraud number to call. I haven't found it yet I've lived here all my life and I saw the influx of California's in 1975. The influx of California's 1985 the influx from everywhere 1995 people are still coming
Awesome community along with Bayview. Bayview tends to be more pricey due to its proximity to the water.
Don't move to Idaho, we don't want you here. You are destroying our home because it's easier to bail on your home than fix what you did to it. You moving here is turning our home into the place you left. You are forcing locals out of their homes because of some kind of freedom country fantasy, ironically forcing more development and regulations. You're not like us. We're full.
Do you think your appliances is not from China? not the same aliexpress?
Don't buy new builds. Have you watched Sy??
